- Notes: Damariscotta organist Sean Fleming will present an organ recital at the First Congregational Church of Searsport, 8 Church St., on Sunday, October 8 at 3:00 p.m. Featured on the 1906 E.W. Lane pipe organ will be Bach’s Sinfonia from Cantata 29, the Guilmant Organ Sonata No.1 in D minor, “Concert Variations on the Austrian Hymn” by the Maine-born composer John Knowles Paine, a beautiful setting of “Rhosymedre” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and the famous Widor Toccata. A piano and organ recitalist who has performed throughout the United States, Fleming studied organ and piano with Ray Cornils, John Doney, Michael Lindsey, and Gerald McGee. He was the recipient of a 2009 St. Botolph Club Foundation grant award. He also works with numerous choral groups and theater organizations throughout Maine.
