DESCRIPTION:Sean Fleming performing on the 1906 EW Lane tracker action pipe organ at the First Congregational Church of Searsport\nDamariscotta organist Sean Fleming will present an organ recital at the First Congregational Church of Searsport\, 8 Church St.\, on Sunday\, September 8 at 3:00 p.m. Featured on the 1906 E.W. Lane pipe organ will be Bach’s Concerto in G Major\, BWV 592\, the chorale prelude on Schmücke dich\, o liebe Seele\, BWV 654 by Bach\, the Mendelssohn Prelude and Fugue in G Major\, Op. 37\, No. 2\, Franck’s Offertoire in E Flat Major\, CFF 36B\, “Concert Variations on The Star Spangled Banner” by the Maine-born composer John Knowles Paine\, and more. As a special treat\, an excerpt from Dvořák’s “New World” symphony will be played\, featuring the tune well-known as “Going Home.” Admission is by donation at the door.
